Pure Air Consultants was selected as the Pearl Chamber of Commerce March Business of the Month. Pure Air Consultants is located at 403 Childre Road in Pearl and is locally owned and operated by Tony Groover. They began operation in Pearl in 2004 specializing in the sale and service of heating and cooling systems. Pure Air Consultants offers air duct cleaning for residential and commercial customers. They are a member of NADCA, National Air Duct Cleaners Association, and are the only ones in this area with this certification. NADCAS requires annual testing of knowledge and expertise to renew the certification. Air duct cleaning is recommended every 3 – 5 years and is especially great for people with pets, allergies, respiratory problems or for those who smoke. They can also install a UV light that sanitizes the air as it comes across the coils for extra cleaning power. The Pearl Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month in February is Mattress Firm, located at 105 Airport Road in Pearl. Mattress Firm opened its doors in December of 2010 and today the Gray family now has 7 locations making them the largest chain of locally owned and operated mattress stores in the Metro area. Mattress Firm carries all of the best brands such as Sealy, Simmons, Tempur-Pedic and Serta. They offer same day delivery six days a week and guarantee that you will love your mattress or they will give you your money back. They also stock a full line of luxurious bed pillows. A portion of each sale from every Mattress Firm Pillow goes to Pancreatic Cancer. Great customer service and giving back to their community are both a high priority in the Gray family businesses. BlueLinx was selected as the Pearl Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month in January. BlueLinx, who acquired the Georgia Pacific distributorship in 2004, has been a Pearl Chamber of Commerce member since 1984. They are located on Gulf Line Road and the facility sits on 12 acres adjacent to the railroad tracks. BlueLinx is a wholesale distributor of building products such as lumber, engineered lumber, roofing, siding, specialty metals and insulation. They recently acquired the Weyerhaeuser distributorship in the southeast region distributing specialty engineered lumber products such as trusses and joists. Some of their local customers include Sutherland’s, Home Depot, Lowe’s and 84 Lumber.
