Firefighter of the Month

We are proud to announce that the Pearl Fire Department Firefighter of the Month is Captain Trey Moore. Trey has been a firefighter for 12 years and has been at the Pearl Fire Department since 2004. He has over 1500 documented training hours at the Mississippi State Fire Academy and has completed classes that include rope rescue, confined space, hazardous materials, trench rescue, certified advanced rescue specialist, firefighter intervention rescue, survival techniques and smoke diver just to name a few. All of the classes are a part of a very rigorous program that was set up by the late Battalion Chief Dwayne Harris that is now called Dwayne’s Big 10. Also included is an individual run in the firefighter combat challenge. Captain Moore is one of 5 Pearl Firefighters that have completed all 10 accomplishments. Trey is known at the Pearl Fire Department for being a positive influence and a motivational force. He goes out of his way to help his colleagues achieve their goals as well as setting an example himself by always striving to reach his own personal goals. This past October Captain Moore completed his first Ironman which includes a 2.4 mile swim, a 114 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run. Trey is a huge asset for the Pearl Fire Department, and with his motivation and encouragement that he gives new firefighters, we will produce even more skilled and dedicated leaders for the future.
