The Pearl Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month in May is O! How Cute Gift Market, located in Riverwind East Shopping Center and also a new location at the Outlets of Mississippi. O! How Cute opened its doors 5 years ago at the Pearl location and has always been a great community partner as well as an active chamber member. O! How Cute is one of the participants in the Pearl Chamber of Commerce Girl’s Night Out Fashion Show in August. They promote Mississippi products and many handmade one of a kind items. They specialize in trendy and affordable gifts, gourmet foods, home décor, jewelry, kids & ladies clothing and shoes. They make gift giving easy with their large assortment of cute gift bags to choose from. O! How Cute is open Monday through Saturday from 10 til 6. Rhodes Chiropractic Clinic was selected as the Pearl Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month in April. Dr. Warren Rhodes opened his office in Pearl in 1995 in the Westbury Square Shopping Center on Pearson Road and then later moved to the current location at 2815 Old Brandon Road. Dr. Rhodes prides himself in promoting high school football and powerlifting throughout the state. Dr. Rhodes spends his Tuesday and Thursday afternoons mentoring to local high school students. He is also a longtime supporter of the Pearl Police Department, the city of Pearl and the Pearl Chamber of Commerce. Pure Air Consultants was selected as the Pearl Chamber of Commerce March Business of the Month. Pure Air Consultants is located at 403 Childre Road in Pearl and is locally owned and operated by Tony Groover. They began operation in Pearl in 2004 specializing in the sale and service of heating and cooling systems. Pure Air Consultants offers air duct cleaning for residential and commercial customers. They are a member of NADCA, National Air Duct Cleaners Association, and are the only ones in this area with this certification. NADCAS requires annual testing of knowledge and expertise to renew the certification. Air duct cleaning is recommended every 3 – 5 years and is especially great for people with pets, allergies, respiratory problems or for those who smoke. They can also install a UV light that sanitizes the air as it comes across the coils for extra cleaning power. The Pearl Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month in February is Mattress Firm, located at 105 Airport Road in Pearl. Mattress Firm opened its doors in December of 2010 and today the Gray family now has 7 locations making them the largest chain of locally owned and operated mattress stores in the Metro area. BlueLinx was selected as the Pearl Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month in January. BlueLinx, who acquired the Georgia Pacific distributorship in 2004, has been a Pearl Chamber of Commerce member since 1984. They are located on Gulf Line Road and the facility sits on 12 acres adjacent to the railroad tracks. BlueLinx is a wholesale distributor of building products such as lumber, engineered lumber, roofing, siding, specialty metals and insulation. They recently acquired the Weyerhaeuser distributorship in the southeast region distributing specialty engineered lumber products such as trusses and joists. Some of their local customers include Sutherland’s, Home Depot, Lowe’s and 84 Lumber.
