Southern State Rustic

The Pearl Chamber of Commerce held a Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, August 22nd at the new location of Southern State Rustic Furniture and Accessories. They are located at 101 Millstone Place just off Hwy 80 East in Pearl across from Office Depot. Southern State Rustic stocks beautiful handmade furniture made from Brazilian Pine, a much harder wood than regular pine. They have a local artisan that can chalk paint, distress or stain any piece to the’s specifications. They have really unique accessories such as the very popular cowhide rugs, metal and wooden accessories and wall hangings. The wooden signs are handmade by “We Will Go” Ministries, that uses the funds from their wood items to provide canned goods, clothing, bible studies and much more to those in need. All of the proceeds above the operating costs at Southern State Rustic goes to Strategic Impact Ministries, a non-denominational ministry that sends career missionaries and mission teams to train local pastors in foreign countries. They also teach the people in the villages to be self-sufficient and live a better life. Southern State Rustic is open 11 – 6 Tuesday thru Saturday. For more info call 769-216-3370. Shown cutting the ribbon is managing partner Sidney Smith. Southern State Rustic Furniture & Accessories
