Officer of the Month

We are proud to announce that the Officer of the Month in August is Lieutenant Patrick Walker. Lt. Walker graduated from Mendenhall High School in 1989 and immediately entered into the Law Enforcement community straight out of high school. He graduated from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy in 1990. He worked for Mendenhall Police Department for ten (10) years before coming to the Pearl Police Department in April of 2000. Lt. Walker started as a patrolman on the streets of Pearl. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2010 and supervised his shift with professionalism and courage. He was promoted again in 2019 to the rank of Patrol Lieutenant and immediately took a leadership role and started teaching the younger officers on his shift.
Lt. Walker shows common courtesy to everyone he meets and expects the officers that work with him to do the same. The administration at the Pearl Police Department often receives commendations from the general public on Lieutenant Walker and the way he conducts himself and represents the PD. He is a giving man that has a servant’s heart and prides himself on helping others in their time of need.
Lt. Walker also works well with administration. He identifies a problem and works to provide a solution, then notifies administration of the problem and the solution. He will then work hand and hand until there is a resolution. Lieutenant Walker is a problem solver by showing professionalism and a non-biased opinion. Lieutenant Walker is a twenty (20) year team player with the Pearl Police Department and is a tremendous asset to the PD and The City of Pearl.
