The Pearl Chamber of Commerce held a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, August 26 at the new Ichiban Chinese Buffet on Riverwind Drive in Pearl. Ichiban is well known for their upscale Asian cuisine and beautiful resort style décor. They serve only premium quality seafood that is either flown in or driven in fresh each day and the attention to detail is evident throughout the buffet. The Sushi Bar has over 40 different types of sushi rolls and the Dessert Bar has a large selection of pastries, specialty cakes, cream puffs, bread pudding and Blue Bell Ice Cream. Friday and Saturday night is Seafood Buffet Night which includes their mouthwatering snow crab legs, oysters on the half shell, jumbo shrimp and cold New Zealand mussels. Kam and Ling Ngai, the brother and sister team who designed the buffet, are committed to making sure that every customer has an excellent dining experience. The hours are Monday – Thursday 11 - 2:30 and from 5 – 9; Friday and Saturday they close at 10 and Sunday hours are 11 – 3 and 5 – 9. Shown cutting the ribbon is co-owner Dr. Manny Ong.
